The 2000 E&S Survey

Reported Data is the information reported by public school districts and their individual schools.
Projected Data statistically extends the Reported Data to estimate data for selected categories at national and state levels.
Privacy Protection - The U.S. Department of Education has modified or suppressed data reported on this site to protect the privacy of students.  The strategies used to protect confidentiality vary, depending on the type of data and other factors.  Note that as one result of the privacy protections we have implemented, numerical and percentage "totals" may not "add up" precisely to the exact sum of the row or column to which the total refers. Examples of methods used in this website to protect student privacy include the rounding of some cell values, as well as the collapsing of selected cell categories into a larger (or aggregated) category.
